Family entertainment giant, Merlin Entertainments and Simon Property Group (one of the largest retail mail owner and developer) are banding together to bring LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Phoenix.
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Phoenix will be located inside the Arizona Mills Mall, in the old Sports Authority location, right next to Arizona Sea Life Aquarium. Plans include for:
Expect models of Phoenix's skyline and landmarks from the surrounding area. Those buildings and landmarks are all nominated by the local community, according to an Arizona Mills press release. Hopefully people will think outside of metro Phoenix and consider landmarks such as the Grand Canyon and the Red Rocks of Sedona as a part of the Phoenix MINILAND. A scaled version would be awesome!
How much will it cost?
Based on current pricing at the other six LEGOLAND Discovery Centers in the U.S., single ticket walk-up prices range from $17 to $23 per person. Your best bet is to go online the day of your trip and purchase online. If you looked up online pricing for all six current U.S locations, you would find if you purchased online, prices were between $13.50 to $17.50 with majority advertising $14.95. Children 2 and under are free.
Annual passes will be available as well. Individual passes ranges from $40 to $65. Family Four Pack ranges from $150 to $210. Purchasing tickets online is cheaper. Group Passes are also available (10 or more) for discount. If you plan on going three or more times a year, it may be better going with the annual pass.
If you can’t wait till Spring 2016 for the Tempe, Arizona location (Arizona Mills) to open up, there are currently six LEGOLAND Discovery Centers in the U.S.:
LEGOLAND Discovery Centers are typically geared for children between the ages of 3 to 10. However, it should be a great place to take that architect, engineer, construction manager, general contractor, carpenter, urban planner or that adult that never grew up and is a kid at heart.
Parents, plan on spending two to three hours on a visit.
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Phoenix is scheduled to be opened Spring of 2016. We will keep you posted with the latest news.
